Brown (R) won in MA today, and by a big enough margin that it won't change by "discovering" a "lost" box of votes in some old car, unlike the Minnesota mess of last November.
I will now predict that Republicans will gain some seats this November. It's not that Republicans will be truly popular. It's that the Democrats will have continued to make themselves that unpopular and anything that ends one-party rule will be seen as an improvement. The attempted steamrolling of things is backfiring and right now gridlock looks good. Inefficient? Yes. But who wants a government screwing them over efficiently?
